Cancellation Policy

If your stay at Camping de Portlander unexpectedly cannot take place, we aim to be as flexible as possible and will always try to find a solution together with you. However, there may be circumstances in which you need to cancel your reservation. As a small campsite, cancellations have a significant impact on us, so we prefer to make clear arrangements in advance. Below you’ll find our cancellation policy.

Camping pitch

  • If you cancel within 28 days before arrival, 50% of the total cost will be charged.
  • If you cancel within 7 days before arrival, 100% of the total cost will be charged.
  • If you leave early during your stay, the full amount for the agreed period remains due.

For any cancellation, we charge a €15 administration fee.

Rented tent, apartment or rental caravan

  • If you cancel within 28 days before arrival, 50% of the total cost will be charged.
  • If you cancel within 14 days before arrival, 75% of the total cost will be charged.
  • If you cancel within 7 days before arrival, 100% of the total cost will be charged.
  • If you leave early during your stay, the full amount for the agreed period remains due.

For any cancellation, we charge a €15 administration fee.

Additional terms

If you shorten your stay (for example due to weather conditions), no refund will be given for the unused nights.

If you have not arrived by 8:00 PM on the day of arrival and we haven’t heard from you (no-show), we reserve the right to rebook your pitch.

Cancellations due to emergencies

In the case of a nationwide travel ban, you can cancel free of charge. We will try to reschedule your stay to another suitable time. If you are unable to come due to, for example, a COVID infection or mandatory quarantine, the regular cancellation policy applies. You may be able to claim costs via your travel insurance.

In exceptional situations, such as extreme weather or specific instructions from (local) authorities, Camping de Portlander may be forced to cancel your reservation. This will only happen when absolutely necessary. In such a case, we will inform you directly and do our best to offer an alternative solution or refund your payment.
